INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY PROFESSIONAL SERVICES - SIN – 132-51

 Duties: Provide oversight and supervision of a given contract requirement in the areas of helpdesk support, facilities management, technical consulting, LAN Administration, graphic design, and other technical support areas.  Provide reporting to and interface with government agency management staff and corporate management personnel on issues to contract performance and delivery/task order status.

 

 Diagnosis and troubleshooting of network problems.  Knowledge of TCP/IP, file server applications, a minimum of two (2) years experience working with Novell NetWare, Windows, Windows NT, Internet and/or SNMP.  Knowledge of routing protocol, LAN bridges, cabling, and a variety of computer software.  Performs diagnostic analysis and identifies solutions to network problems.  Performs and implements enhancements to the network.

Diagnose and Repair computer hardware using both hardware and software tools.  Perform installation and configuration of equipment to enable communications with LAN and/or mainframe systems.  Position requires communications and significant interface with End Users and Technical Staff members.
 
Qualifications and General Experience: Two (2) years of network related experience, including in depth knowledge of applications software and client configurations, day-to-day administration of the network, installation, updating and upgrading of the network and operations of network products, network software files.
 
Two (2) years of experience in the diagnosis and repair of computer hardware and software problems.  Experience with installation and assembly of computer hardware components and software media.  Understanding of communications between microcomputers and LAN and/or mainframe equipment
 
Minimum Education: BS/BA degree in computer science and/or 2 years of equivalent experience.
 

Helpdesk Support:

Duties: Desktop support will include certified technicians, who will trouble shoot PC workstation problems, printer and peripheral repair and troubleshooting. Installation of software and hardware, Workstations network connections (token ring, Ethernet, patch cables etc.) replacement of parts. Diagnose and Repair Computer hardware and software using both hardware and software tools.  Perform installation and configuration of equipment, including components and peripherals to return equipment unit to a fully functional status.  Position requires communications and significant interface with End Users and Technical Staff members, as well as documentation of work and call transactions
 
Qualifications and General Experience: One (1) year of experience in the diagnosis and repair of computer hardware and software problems. Experience with installation and assembly of computer hardware components and software media.  Understanding of communications between microcomputers and LAN and/or mainframe equipment.
 
Minimum Education: High School Diploma and Technical School Certificate, or one (1) year of equivalent experience.
 
Internet Services:
 
 
Duties: Assess end-user needs and problems, and perform troubleshooting, functioning in a help-desk style environment.  Track problems through to resolution.  Also, maintains basic skills and working knowledge of Web development programming tools, including HTML.
 
Qualifications and General Experience: One (1) year of experience supporting and configuring a range of  end-user Internet tools including Web browsers, e-mail client software, FTP tools, file attachments.  Configuration of workstations on a LAN linked to the Internet.  Knowledge of dial-in PPP client communications and basic understanding of TCP/IP network protocol.
 
Minimum Education: High School Diploma and Technical School Certificate, one (1) year of equivalent experience.
 
PROJECT MANAGER
 
Duties: Work closely with Senior Management to determine technology needs as they relate to business goals and processes, identifying solution strategy components, assist with the development and presentation of strategic and tactical recommendation.  Write functional requirements and specifications for new features of existing applications or new applications.  Determine strategies, implement QA process, and support testing of business of business applications on high –profile, mission critical project.  Plan and implement new technologies, monitor existing technologies, manage system guidelines and policies, manage vendor, consultants, contracts, and budget.  Provide support to various support application development projects. Acquire, test and implement application development tools, end user productivity tools and business application.  Lead and mentor TIS staff assigned to business team.  Work cooperatively with other TIS staff to achieves department.
 
Qualifications and General Experience: At least 5 years experience managing the implementation of a variety of technologies including needs analysis through testing and implementation.  Experience with client server application and financial software.  Proven leadership and management skills with at least 2 years experience directly supervising staff

Quality Assurance Manager:

 
Duties: Plan, coordinate, supervise and evaluate the work of Quality Assurance Analyst Trains Quality Assurance Analyst. Develops quality assurance standards for data processing systems and services so that users receive necessary services, errors are minimized and resources and funds are efficiently and economically used. Develops quality assurance procedures and maintains quality assurance manuals. Advises data processing personnel and systems users on the implementation of quality assurance standards and procedures. Reviews and approves applications systems for adherence to quality assurance standards related to system design, development, testing, implementation and maintenance and maintains systems documentation libraries. Coordinates responses to internal and external audit exceptions related to data processing systems and services and follows up on corrective action plans. Reviews journals, catalogues and other technical literature and attends workshops, seminars and training classes to keep abreast of the latest developments in quality assurance theory and methods and related data processing technology. May supervise formal audits of data processing systems and services. Performs other related duties.
 
Qualifications and General Experience: Active security clearance . Knowledge of the principles and practices of quality assurance for data processing systems and services. Knowledge of the principles and practices of data processing applications systems analysis and design. Knowledge of third generation or other generally accepted computer programming languages. Knowledge of the functions and capabilities of computers and peripheral equipment. Quality Assurance Analyst:

 
Duties: Reviews data processing services including computer operations, technical services, systems and programming, data entry related services for adherence to quality assurance standards, procedures and documentation requirements. Monitors the adequacy of and adherence to data processing internal controls and emergency, disaster recovery and security procedures. Develops and implements processes to measure adherence to quality assurance standards and prepares reports of the results. Recommends changes to correct deficiencies and enhance the quality of data processing systems and services.

Project Control Specialist:

Duties: Develops the development of detailed information and processing requirements in components of the enterprise application architecture; plans new applications development, including identification of builds, selection of methodology and tools; sequencing and prioritization of modules; software unit integration and operational testing-strategies; evaluates software reuse, reengineering, and renewal options for components of the enterprise application architecture; designs applications for maximum flexibility and adaptability to changing business needs.
 
Qualifications and General Experience: Experience in enterprise architecture planning; functional and software requirements analysis and specification; application systems development planning, software engineering, and design and development.

Data Entry Clerk:
 
Duties: Operates data entry devices including key entry and verification equipment. Ability to enter data precisely, in the proper fields, proper spacing, punctuation and formatting. Ability to edit source data to ensure that they conform to predetermined specifications.
 
Qualifications and General Experience: Ability to compare data on printout or screen with source data to detect errors. Maintain time log of jobs performed Perform routine clerical work as required.

System Administrator:
 
Duties: Provide user support, debugging assistance and formulating solutions to program problems.  Isolate problem source and effects proper problem resolution course of action. Maintain appropriate security classifications for all end-users.
 
Qualifications and General Experience: Install and configure all incoming computers and integrate them into the network. Assist in the hardware and software training courses for end-users. Make recommendations and assist in selection of appropriate hardware and software to meet task requirements and provide customer satisfaction.
 
Minimum Education: Degree in computer science and at least two years’ experience in systems analysis/programming with mainframes and PC hardware and PC hardware and software. Good people skills for training and assisting with software problems.
 
System Administrator Jr:
 
Duties: Perform analysis and development of computer based training for complex systems and equipment in operation, maintenance, and knowledge skills. The use of multi-media presentation and delivery of instructional materials using current tools and processes will be employed in the formulation of support requirements as well as for formal and informal course presentation.
 
Qualifications and General Experience: Eight (8) years of progressive experience in computer based training development, curricula development, instruction, analysis, and use of instructional tools is required.
 
Minimum Education: Associates degree in education, instruction, information systems or related field.
 
Training Specialist:
 
Duties: Provide software, hardware, system or equipment curricula development using standard techniques and practices. Must be capable of supporting integration of developed materials into computer based training environments, multi-media presentation, and remote learning concepts.
 
Qualifications and General Experience: Four (4) years of specialized experience in the development, presentation, and analysis of software, hardware, system, or module instruction is required. Familiarity with automated tools and computer based training techniques is required.
Minimum Education:  Associate's degree in education, instructional technology, information systems, or related fields.
 
Helpdesk Manager:

Conduct daily problem reporting review in order to solve user problems. Determine if the problem(s) are user, software, or equipment related and then assign the problem(s) to the appropriate TIS area for problem resolution. Assist users with inquiries in a timely manner by notifying the user of the status of the problem within 30 minutes. Improve the level of TIS service by providing problem resolution or forwarding inquiries to appropriate personnel/technician. Analyze type of problems and inquires of the users to record, assign severity levels, assign problem resolution, and follow through to solution. Prepare reports related to TIS problems and Help Desk activity for management review and action.  Analyze calls for tends in problems or potential user training topics.
 
Qualifications and General Experience: Experience using MS Windows 98 or higher, MS Office 97 or higher office products and various financial systems. Technical Writer:
 
Duties: The technical writer supports the Communications department.  Primarily, she/he will help plan, write traffic, and support productions online. Participates in shaping content of documents. Support and traffic section editors’ development and delivery of content, photos, links, and interactive opportunities.  Create, identify, and provide additional support (including mentoring) for section editors.  Set all deadlines, and manage the flow of development, draft, review, and final approval for all sections. Help locate visuals, photos and links.  Establish and manage a proofreading process.  The technical writer will help write, edit, and manager various projects as time allows and demands require.
 
Qualifications and General Experience: Excellent writing skills; strong leadership skills; ability to manage complex processes and personalities; willingness to master Web style, voice and publishing. Three-to-five years experience in publishing: writing, editing, trafficking, and supervising writers and designers.
 
Minimum Education: BA or equivalent in journalism, communications, or a related field.  Degree in publications or online experience preferred.
 
Sr. Computer Security System Specialist:
 
Duties: Gathers data regarding an organization's mission, goals, and needs, existing security products, and ongoing programs to formulate engineering solutions for information security needs. Independent research and analysis of networks, systems, software, applications, and architecture security requirements is conducted to support total system implementation.
 
Qualifications and General Experience: Five (5) years of directly related experience in defining computer and network security requirements for high level applications, evaluation of approved security product capabilities, and developing solutions to Multi-level Security (MLS) issues. Active security clearance.
 
Computer Security System Specialist:
 
Duties: Performs basic research, data analysis, system topology information development, architecture definition, implementation planning, resource searches, and development of alternative solutions to Information Security requirements. Participates in engineering of solutions to identified security issues as part of the security team.
 
Qualifications and General Experience: One (1) year of specialized experience in the assessment, evaluation, design, implementation, testing, and engineering of Information Security solutions. Active security clearance.
 
IT Hardware Specialist:
 
Duties: Coordinates with users, plant engineering, and technical support to assure timely and accurate hardware installation to the satisfaction of users. Performs problem diagnostic services to determine appropriate action/hardware or software fix/correction. Schedules and works with vendor to perform problem resolution (to keep down time to a minimum). Maintains accurate hardware inventory of owned and leased equipment and its locations, as verified by yearly audits. Maintains configurations based on systems software, hardware, and user requirements. Orders new hardware to meet user needs. Maintains shop floor control hardware to ensure timely collection of labor expended in the manufacturing process. Assist TIS communications department in problem determination of data processing communication equipment.

Software System Engineer:
 

Duties: The Software System Engineer will be primarily responsible for training and support of word processing, spreadsheet, presentation and desktop publishing applications, user support and diagnosing and resolving end-user software problems.  The incumbent will also analyze user needs and develop applications to support these needs in a user-friendly manner. Provide day-to-day problem resolution answering software related questions, research and communicate more efficient way to utilize software, troubleshoot software related problems, install software, research documentation and contact technical support to resolve user software issues. Develop and deliver onsite training.

Create and maintain user documentation. Determine broader instructional needs of departments and groups. Coordinate with vendors for external training. Develop instructional materials for specific software features used by the end –user. Develop and conduct new employee orientation. Create and implement assessment tools to determine individual skill levels. Develop and maintain macro and forms libraries. Assist Database Manager in implementation of applications and user support. Assist with special graphics and desktop publishing projects. Assist departments in designing publications, brochures and training manuals.
 
Qualifications and General Experience: This position requires proficiency in a variety of PC applications to include Windows 98/2000 Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, GroupWise, PowerPoint, Microsoft Publisher and Corel Draw.  The candidate must have the ability to diagnose hardware, software and operational problems and take remedial actions or recommend procedural changes.
 
Minimum Education: A minimum of 3 or more years of experience providing PC support to users with a variety of skill levels and the ability to support users with a variety of skill levels in a network environment.  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills is a must.
 
Disaster Recovery Specialist:
 
Duties: Define disaster scenarios for the data center, the risks associated with each, and the likelihood of occurrence. For all production applications, identify requirements for disaster recovery with respect to time and application functionality. Identify options for disaster recovery for those scenarios and applications where recovery must be undertaken. Cost analysis. Develop testing methods for disaster recovery plans. Well-rounded with knowledge of IT business and organization and strong interest in Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery services.
 
Qualifications and General Experience: Two years of experience performing network technical support work; or computer program analysis and development; or data base management; or system programming; or, developing and implementing end user management information systems. Good time-management and prioritization skills. Ability to construct quality work plans and deliverables from minimal definitions and work on multiple assignments simultaneously.
 
Minimum Education: Bachelors degree with major course work in Computer Science, Decision Science, Information Science or a closely related field, supplemented by successful completion of forty hours of training in local area network administration from an accredited school or other institution.
 
Telecommunication Engineer:
 
Duties. Performs a variety of telecommunications engineering task which are broad in nature and are concerned with the design and implementation of integrated telecommunications systems and includes considerations of personnel, hardware, software, support facilities, and/or equipment.  Supervises team of engineers through project completion.
 
Qualifications and General Experience: Experience in technical support areas performing repair, troubleshooting, installation, training, integration, and upgrade of complex systems or equipment.
 
Minimum Education: Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Business, Management, or equivalent.
 
Sr. Cable Specialist:
 
Duties: Oversees cable plant installations. Sets up panels and racks, troubleshoots, test equipment.  Repairs and maintains equipment. Provides reports, determines methodology for installation, determines appropriateness of moderate equipment changes or modifications, test links and installs communication circuits. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.  Typically reports to a Telecommunications Enginee.
 
Qualifications and General Experience:  Five years of experience in installing, modifying, and troubleshooting communications media and applicable certificate (s). Design communications cabling plants. Perform site surveys. Analyze consumer needs. Communications and network cabling systems.  Ability to perform a variety of cable plants.  Data, voice and video.  Ability to manage one or more persons.
 
Minimum Education: High school diploma or GED, with applicable training certificate from an accredited training institution.  Proven Managerial skills.
 
Cable Technician:
 
Duties: Install, analyze, and service communication cabling.   Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the field. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision. Typically reports to a Sr. Cable Specialist
 
Qualifications and General Experience: Requires 1 year experience in installing, modifying, and troubleshooting cable plants.
 
Minimum Education: High school diploma or GED, with applicable training certificate from an accredited training institution.
 
Web Project Manager:
 
Duties: Perform web systems application and technical architecture, including design and programming services, to expand and enhance the capabilities of the agency’s web-based systems in support of the corporate web site to be reflective of corporate communication/branding strategies, business unit goals and overall agency objectives. Develops standards and strategies for web site and corporate intranet planning and development. Performs complex system and application architecture reviews and designs. In conjunction with IT staff and business unit staff assists with or develops business requirements, system functional specifications and business process redesigns, as appropriate. Serves as project manager or project lead and develops project charters, project plans and related project management functions for all assigned projects. Works with business unit management, consultant/design staff and IS technical staff to develop application designs, testing plans and implementation processes. Performs analysis and reporting related to web site activities. Provides programming services as needed in conjunction with site support. Maintains a state-of-the-art knowledge of web site design and development techniques, as well as technical infrastructure. Prepares system documentation including architecture, operational procedures, and user training and application instruction guides.
 
Qualifications and General Experience: Two years of intensive and progressive experience in a computer related field including development and design of software systems and WEB development or five years of experience.
 
Minimum Education: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in computer science, mathematics, or engineering or a mathematics-intensive discipline, or an applicable training certificate from an accredited institution.
 
Web Designer:
 
Duties: To plan, develop, design, establish and maintain Internet sites for clients using technical knowledge and communication expertise to achieve marketing or informational goals. Interview client to clarify their goals for stabling Web Site. Educate client about the similarities and differences between Internet communication and other forms of marketing and public relations efforts. Custom tailors a plan for proposed site using combination of graphic and written material, and modifies proposal as necessary until client is satisfied. Designs or supervises design of digitized images, java banners, bullets, charts, image maps and other graphics enhance appearance of site. Writes, or edits and formats, copy to present clients’ message effectively. Coordinate with Internet Service Provide (ISP) to reduce amount of technical expertise needed by client. Provide marketing and promotional services of site such as registration of web site with search engines and directories. Update and expand information on Web Site to attract repeat users. Meets on a regular basis with clients to evaluate and modify site as it seems appropriate.
 
Qualifications and General Experience: Knowledge of JAVA, Flash,  Dreamweaver, ASP, .Net,  programming, HTML programming, CGI-script programming (Forms, Database, and Integration.
 
Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science or graphics communication and at least two years of relevant experience. Training in marketing or business administration highly desirable.
 
Web Software Developer:
 
Duties: The position requires strong business and analytical skills and ability to work with limited supervision. Work closely with senior/project management team to recommend technology need as they relate to business goals and processes; identify solution strategy components, and assist with the development and presentations of strategic and tactical recommendations. Resolve implementation/integration issues, employ creative problems solving and devise work plan development and resolution of user discrepancies. Plan and implement new technologies; monitor existing technologies; manage system guidelines and policies; oversee vendors, consultants, contracts and non-salary budgets.  Recommend strategies and quality assurance processes, and participate in the testing of software applications and high profile and mission critical projects. Qualifications and General Experience: Ability to manage multiple projects and assignments, meet tight deadlines coordinate and communicate effectively among widely-dispersed parties. Web Content Administrator:
 
Duties: The Web Content Administrator, using HTML editing software, creates, edits and translates content information from a variety of sources into Web pages.  The position reports to the Web Project Manager. Assist in the collection and collaboration of all contents for web site. Implement updates to web site. Test pages on the web site for accuracy and functionality both in terms of code and text.  Assist Web Project Manager keep in constant contact with other departments responsible for supplying regular information to the web site. Assist in the design and development of interactive components of the web site.
 
Qualifications and General Experience: Knowledge of Hypertext Markup Language (HTML) and Microsoft FrontPage.  Working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop. Demonstrated abilities in graphic design and page layout. Ability to search and extract data from the Internet. Knowledge of Web-based scripting language, such as JavaScript and ASP. Excellent interpersonal, team-building and communication skills (oral and written).
 
Minimum Education: BA or two (2) years relevant experience.
 
Programmer Analyst:
 
Duties: Responsible for writing design specifications, coding and debugging systems, developing and presenting test packages, and ultimately implementing your projects into a mainframe system. This will require an excellent working knowledge of COBOL. Other languages that would be helpful to this work would be JCL, CICS and DB2. Experience in a full lifecycle environment is highly desirable. Experience as a Technical Lead in a multi-project environment is required for upper level positions.
 
Qualifications and General Experience: COBOL, DB2, mainframe systems, JCL, CICS: Full project development lifecycle experience is critical.
 
Minimum Education: You should possess a degree in Computer Science that contained two courses in COBOL, or significant work experience in COBOL. Experience with DB2 on a mainframe system is a plus.

Duties: Responsible for the correct and timely operation of the computer system. Monitors computer and peripheral equipment and responds to operator requests and messages as required. Performs backups. Assists senior operators in running complex programs. Under the general supervision of the Operations Manager the Tape Librarian will be responsible for the operation of the data center mainframes, servers, output and distribution services, and production control functions. The shift supervisor shall have supervisory responsibility over senior computer operators and computer operators and be responsible for notifying management of any problems that may occur. Shall be responsible for the operation of the IBM mainframes. Shall be responsible for the processing of production and housekeeping jobs. Shall ensure that all sub-systems are available to system users during scheduled times.  Shall be able to perform the duties assigned with minimum supervision.
 
Qualifications and General Experience: Four years experience in computer and related service operations within large IBM or equivalent plug compatible, mainframe environment using MVS/XA/ESA JESII or OS/390 JES III. Experience in a multi-vendor data center and FIP processing. Must have a working knowledge of computer operations and related services. Knowledge of JCL, operating system utilities and system functions.
 
Minimum Education: High School Diploma and AA degree or Technical School Certificate with additional training in computer systems and management.
 
Video Teleconferencing Network System Technician:
 
Duties: Must have TS/SCI with Polygraph and be able to travel. Install racks, equipment, cabling, testing, and be able to trouble shoot any equipment installed
 
Qualifications and General Experience: Must have knowledge of operation and maintenance of a wide variety of Video equipment, to include the ability to interpret drawings, specification, and related documents. Must be proficient in cable termination, set-up, and maintenance of Video Teleconferencing equipment.
 
Minimum Education: High School Diploma or its equivalent.  Two years of technical School or equivalent experience. Must have at least 5 years of maintenance and installation of Video equipment, and systems.
 
Video Teleconferencing Network Hardware Technician I:
 
Duties: Installation of videoconferencing systems and work as a member of an installation team. Implement actions as defined by the more senior technicians. Operate equipment; perform routine diagnostic functions and implement defined maintenance actions.

Video Teleconferencing Network Hardware Technician II:
 
Duties: Perform such duties as the installation of videoconferencing systems, and assists other technicians in their tasks. Implements minor modifications as defined by the VTC engineering staff with some supervision, and responds to problems. Perform routine diagnostic functions and implements defined maintenance actions. Troubleshoots malfunctioning systems and takes corrective action.
 
Qualifications and General Experience: Experience in telecommunications equipment and controls. Experience in the installation of equipment, repair, and diagnostics of videoconferencing equipment. Formal training in the installation and operation of communications equipment is required.
 
Minimum Education: High School Diploma or its equivalent with a minimum of three years’ experience in maintenance and installation of videoconferencing, networks, and microcomputers.
 
Sr. Mainframe Programmer:
 
Duties: Develop new programs according to user specifications and maintain and revise existing applications.  Six years of experience with Cobol and CICS using VSAM files, sequential files, and a database management system.
 
Qualifications and General Experience: Minimum of six years of experience with MVS JCL and working on an IBM Mainframe with an MVS operating system.  Four years of experience with ROSCOE, Panvalet, and Panexec. Two years of experience in systems design and analysis on mainframe applications.  Two years of experience with PC's (Windows and MS Office).
 
Minimum Education: BS degree in computer science, information systems engineering, business or related technical field.
 
Jr. Mainframe Programmer:
 
Duties: Support all aspects of mainframe processing.  Provide technical support for all aspects of mainframe processing to the application developers and user community. Create and manage project and test plans, 24-hour on-call coverage.
 
Qualifications and General Experience: Minimum of four years of experience with MVS JCL and working on an IBM Mainframe with an MVS operating system.  Two years of experience with ROSCOE, Panvalet, and Panexec. Excellent communication skills.
 
Minimum Education: Working knowledge of the following IBM products: OS/390 2.9+ (PARM and PROCLIB, JES2, DFSMS, VTAM, TCPIP, OMVS HCD, SMPE), DB2, IMS.
 
Computer Operator I:
 
Duties: Responsible for the correct and timely operation of the computer system. Monitors computer and peripheral equipment and responds to operator requests and messages as required. Performs backups. Assists senior operators in running complex programs.
 

Minimum Education: High School Diploma and one year operating and/or programming data processing equipment. Technical School Certificate or equivalent work experience.

 
Computer Operator II:
 
Duties: Responsible for the correct and timely operation of the computer system, including resolving error conditions, acting on machine stoppages and/or error conditions not fully covered by existing procedures. Operation tasks include production   work, troubleshooting, and equipment maintenance, calling the proper personnel for equipment repair, accurate maintenance of tape and disk libraries, and correct completion of system backups. May assist in modifying systems, or in programming or LAN support.
 
Minimum Education: Two years operating and/or programming data processing equipment. AA degree or Technical School Certificate, or equivalent work experience.
 
Computer Operator III:
 
Duties: Under supervision of the Computer Operator V, the Computer Operator III shall be responsible for the operation of the IBM or equivalent mainframes and peripheral equipment according to operating instructions. Shall be responsible for output and distribution services.
 
Qualifications and General Experience: Experience in a multi-vendor data center and interactive and batch processing experience. A sound working knowledge of DASD, magnetic tape (reel and cartridge) and other peripheral equipment, and knowledge of JCL, operating system utilities and system functions.
 
Minimum Education: High School Diploma and AA degree or Technical School Certificate. Four years experience in computer and related service operations within large IBM or equivalent plug-compatible, mainframe environment using MVS/XA/ESA JESII or OS/390 JES II.
 
Computer Operator IV:
 
Duties: Shall be responsible for the operation of the IBM mainframes. Shall be responsible for the processing of production and housekeeping jobs. Shall ensure that all sub-systems are available to system users during scheduled times. Duties shall also include those of the Computer Operator III. Shall be able to perform the duties assigned with minimum supervision.
 

Qualifications and General Experience: Experience in a multi-vendor data center and interactive and batch processing experience. Must have a sound working knowledge computer operations and related services. Knowledge of JCL, operating system utilities and system functions. Experience initiating system dumps and backups and restore operations.

 
Minimum Education: High School Diploma and AA degree or Technical School Certificate. Six years of increasing responsibility. Two years experience in computer and related service operations within large IBM or equivalent plug compatible, mainframe environment using MVS/XA/ESA JESII or OS/390 JES II.
 
Sr. Systems Administrator- UNIX/NT:
 
Duties: Performs system monitoring for enterprise network on UNIX and Windows server platforms. Provide performance tuning for a variety of systems. Testing and installation of operating system patches and operating system upgrades. Provide technical consulting.
 
Qualifications and General Experience: Requires at least 4 years of NT support experience in a complex network environment. Must also have some experience with UNIX. Active security clearance.
 
Minimum Education: Position requires a BS in Computer Science or equivalent combination of education and experience.
 
Jr. Systems Administrator- UNIX/NT:
 

Duties: The UNIX Administrator installs, supports, maintains, monitors, and tunes operating system software and guest (DBMS's, web/internet, imaging, networking, back-up/restore, web server) sub-system software. The administrator will also architect and deploy UNIX server hardware (CPU's, Disk, tape, memory, network).The individual develops disaster recovery procedures and strives to balance workload. The position's goal is to deploy stable cost-effective UNIX environments.

 
Qualifications and General Experience: IBM Unix Administrator (AIX) - with at least 4 years of solid UNIX administration experience. Experience with AIX 4.3, Experience using RS6000 hardware. Experience with Sharks. Experience with SANs (Storage Area Networks), HACMP, Tivoli, or experience also desirable. Active security clearance.
 
Minimum Education: Position requires a BS in Computer Science or equivalent combination of education and experience.
